Shredathon -Shredding Fundraiser for Local Libraries to Be Held on May 7
May 7, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Got documents to shred? Here is your chance. Donations for the shredding with benefit local libraries. All paper will be recycled.
Six libraries in the lakes region of Maine have joined together to sponsor a community shredding event on May 7 from 8a.m. to 12 noon at the First Congregational Church in Bridgton (33 S. High St.). Money raised in this fundraiser will benefit the participating libraries in Bridgton, Casco, Denmark, Fryeburg, Harrison and Sebago.
At a time when scams and identity theft are all too common, the Shredathon will assure that all your confidential documents have been safely destroyed by a certified document destruction company. All of the paper will be recycled; none will be going to a landfill.
People bringing their confidential papers to be shredded will be reassured by seeing their documents shredded immediately after dropping them into secure receptacles. Certificates of Destruction are available on request.
It is not necessary to remove any metal clips or file hangers. Paper to be shredded can be put into any type of box or bag. The suggested donation is $15 for the amount of paper that would fit into a standard Banker’s Box. A standard Banker’s Box measures 12” W x 10”H x 15” D.
The event is drive-through; no appointments are needed. The Shredathon is open to both individuals and businesses. For further information, please contact a participating library or Joanne Cohn at 617-306-1956.
